Need help with your energy bills? LIHEAP is here to help. The Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP), through the North Dakota Department of Health and Human Services, helps eligible families with home heating and erization costs. The program partially pays the cost of natural gas, electricity, propane, fuel oil, coal, wood or other fuel sources.

  • Weatherization services (insulation, weather stripping around doors and windows, etc.)
  • Furnace cleaning, repair and replacement
  • Chimney cleaning and inspection
  • Emergency assistance
  • Help with the cost of a cooling device or repair

How to Apply for LIHEAP

LIHEAP applications are accepted year-round.
