Budget billing is a method of billing based on the past 12 months of history of an electric account. The usage is divided by 12, and that usage becomes the basis from which your budget billing is calculated, based on the current rate. This calculation becomes your budget billing payment for the next 12 months. You would make 11 equal payments, and in the 12th month, make up any difference between the actual amount billed and the budget amount paid.
Consumers must be current on their payments in order to participate in the budget billing program.
