G. List of Charges
- The Cooperative will make such charges for reasonable special services as necessary to discourage abuse, and to minimize subsidy of such services by other members. The following schedule shall apply where applicable:
- Service interruption incurred on member's side of the meter member shall be billed for time and charges incurred by the Cooperative.
- Account processing fee $10 for changing records, transferring accounts, and/or for meter readings to accomplish transfers.
- Reconnect meter following disconnection for reasons other than a member in good standing $25, prior to meter installed.
- Line Retention – Should a member want the service left in place, a payment of $31.32 per month will be required to offset the maintenance and service costs to the members of the Cooperative. Should the member no longer need the electric service, Mor-Gran-Sou will remove that inactive service by an agreed upon date.
- Reconnect of new permanent service temporarily connected in contractor's name for construction purposes only no charge.
- Connection fee $10 to contractor for all permanent services used as temporary services.
- Meter test fee if requested by the consumer $25 payment will be made prior to testing meter, if meter tests outside limits, the payment will be refunded.
- Meter reading fee at the consumer's request with prior arrangement $5 when Cooperative personnel dispatched to read the meter.
- Meter reading fee because consumer has not provided a timely meter reading - $20 when Cooperative personnel dispatched to read the meter.
- Insufficient or Non Sufficient Funds (NSF) checks are defined as legally recognized banking instruments, such as checks, drafts, etc. utilized by individuals or corporations to draw upon funds deposited at the referenced banking institution, which have been returned, unhonored, to the Cooperative because insufficient funds exist in the account to cover the instrument, the account's assets have been frozen, or other legal action has been instituted disallowing drafting of the funds.
- All NSF check(s) shall result in a $15 cost recovery assessment per check to offset the costs involved in processing said check(s).
- The consumer shall have at least ten (10) working days to make payment after notification is sent by Mor-Gran-Sou. If payment is not received within this time frame, the consumer shall be subject to disconnection without further notice.
- Late payment penalty 11½% per month on unpaid balance
- Estimated bill penalty $5
- Delinquency/Disconnect trip $50. Payment is required before meter will be replaced.
- Extender fee - $75
- Meter reseal penalty $15
- Yard light installation fee - $25 for installation of a single yard light
- Used poles - $10 each. Used posts, stored in a pile, are precut at a nominal length (8 – 12 ft.). Members/customers will not be able to randomly pick used posts as all posts will be pulled from the top of the pile.
