A well-trained and educated director is critical to the decision-making process in the boardroom. Your Mor-Gran-Sou directors take their job very seriously. Directors are continually educating themselves on the many issues facing the cooperative—by listening to member issues, attending meetings, studying and learning current trends and keeping abreast of what is happening in the local, regional and national political arena.
Yet, there is so much more to learn. To help directors learn more about the utility industry, the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA) offers formal training programs for cooperative directors. Most of Mor-Gran-Sou's directors have acquired their Credentialed Cooperative Director (CCD) certification, with the remaining directors continuing their education to obtain the certification. Director Paul Trauger has also acquired the additional Board Leadership (BL) certification.
