Mor-Gran-Sou Embraces Technology
Mor-Gran-Sou and its residential members are realizing a more automated “cooperative” world. Residential members throughout the entire system now have the highly successful, field-proven Automatic Meter Reading (AMR) “TWACS” system installed at their account. Their meter is now being read automatically by the Cooperative each month.
One question members are asking of Mor-Gran-Sou is now that the new meters are installed, and the meter runs through a sequence of readings – which reading is the kilowatt-hour (kWh) reading?
The AMR meter runs through a three-cycle sequence. The first sequential display flashes 88888’s, the second sequence is the kWh reading, and the third and final display is a voltage reading at your account. After the voltage display, the AMR meter will again cycle through the three readings - displaying the 88888’s, the meter reading and again the final voltage reading. Member’s the kWh reading, the second in the series of three, is your meter reading.
As the cooperative strives to bring the field closer to the office through automation, Mor-Gran-Sou will continue to seek that human connection with its membership. It is important to note that while Mor-Gran-Sou will automatically read the meter, cooperative members are still be able to see the digital display at their homes. Please, let us hear from you as we continue this process. It is important to know how we can serve you better in the future. Thank You!
