Business Development

1101 The Cooperative, through its Board of Directors, shall engage in business development which furthers the purposes of the Cooperative and/or contributes to the economic development of both the urban and rural areas in the region served by the Cooperative. Subject to the requirements for membership approval under state law, business development shall include, but not be limited to, membership in, investment in, or creation of business entities, mergers, acquisitions, or other business arrangements, and research and development of new product areas and services.
