Currently, Mor-Gran-Sou has a job opening for an Apprentice or Journeyman Lineman to be based at its Fort Yates location. Applicants must have the ability to demonstrate proficiencies in all classes of overhead and underground distribution, as well as wood-framed transmission work. The successful applicant will work effectively and safely in a fast-paced, challenging outdoor environment. A valid North Dakota Commercial Driver's license (CDL), including air brake endorsement, or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire, is required. Employee must be willing to become or maintain qualifications in basic first aid, CPR, and pole top rescue. To meet the position requirements as a Journeyman, applicants must hold a Journeyman Lineman's certificate issued by the U.S. Dept. of Labor.

Also, there is a System Engineer I job opening at Innovative Energy Alliance Cooperative, which is the management cooperative for Mor-Gran-Sou Electric Co-op. 

Innovative Energy Alliance (IEA) is a professional management and services company that provides support for four electric cooperatives as well as 3C Construction and West Dakota Utility Services in North Dakota. IEA has an immediate opening for a System Engineer I. This position performs engineering duties under supervision using established, well-defined engineering principles. The position seeks appropriate guidance from engineering and operations personnel. To perform effectively in this position, a general knowledge of engineering principals acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited EAC/ABET engineering program. An emphasis in Power Systems and Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) certificate is preferred. Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a valid North Dakota driver’s license.

IEA also has an immediate opening for an Engineering Intern in Bismarck, ND. This position performs engineering duties under supervision using established; well-defined engineering principles. The position seeks appropriate guidance from the engineering department. The most challenging aspect of this position is becoming familiar with the various engineering functions of the Cooperatives. This position will work mostly in the office assisting the Manager of Engineering Services.

To perform effectively in this position, applicant must be currently enrolled as a full-time student in a four-year accredited EAC/ABET engineering program; completion of sophomore year required. A minimum of a 2.5 grade point average (GPA) is required. An emphasis in Power Systems preferred. Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a valid North Dakota driver's license.
